Dr. David Paulussen
Dr. David Paulussen grew up in Wayne, New Jersey. He attended Fairleigh Dickinson University and did so well academically that he “skipped” his senior year of college and was accepted early admission at The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Paulussen graduated UMDNJ in 1985 and worked in dental offices in Vernon and Ledgewood, NJ. In 1988 he opened this office with the help of his wife and mother, Marjorie, a registered nurse who helped answer the phone and assist patients. Gradually, the practice continued to grow and attract the wonderful staff members that we have today.
Dr. Paulussen has served as President and Treasurer of the R.V. Tucker Cast Gold Study Club of New Jersey. The study club consists of a group of dentists with the collective goal of perfecting the placement of advanced cast gold restorations. They meet eight weekends a year to work hands-on with a selective group of patients.
Dr. Paulussen is a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry. He attained his Mastership Status by first obtaining his fellowship degree, and then over 1,100 hours of continuing education in the 16 disciplines of dentistry. The Mastership Award is the highest honor available in the AGD and only three percent of the dentists in the AGD in the United States and Canada obtain it. By becoming a Master, Dr. Paulussen has made a commitment to offering his patients a better variety of diagnosis and treatment choices and he will continue to attend continuing education classes to maintain this edge on his professional excellence.
Dr. Paulussen routinely takes hundreds of hours of continuing education yearly. His dedication to the dental profession is not only fulfilling to himself, but he is also able to bring the most advanced and highest quality dentistry to his patients.
Dr. Paulussen maintains and is active in many professional associations. Some of the most notable include the American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association, Academy of Operative Dentistry, Tri-County Dental Society, R.V. Tucker Cast Gold Club, Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Paulussen has also served on various planning committees for international dental meetings. He is also an adjunct clinical professor at UMDNJ in helping to teach cast gold inlays.
Dr. Paulussen enjoys traveling and spending quality time with his wife, Janice, and two children. He and his family love to enjoy the Jersey Shore at Beach Haven as well as sailing and kayaking in the bay. He enjoys watching his children's sporting and musical events. His hobbies include woodworking, home projects, collecting antique toy soldiers, and sailing.

Alec E. Keon, DMD
Dr. Keon is a proud husband and father. He received his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Cellular and Molecular Biology from Connecticut College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with Honors and Distinction.
After a short career as a pharmaceutical chemist in Princeton, New Jersey, he found his calling in dentistry. He graduated among the top of his class from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (formerly UMDNJ), where he received numerous academic and clinical distinctions and was awarded membership to the dental honor societies Omicron Kappa Upsilon and Gamma Pi Delta. Dr. Keon completed a General Practice Residency at Morristown Medical Center.
He holds memberships in the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, New Jersey Dental Association, and Mercer County Dental Society. He performs a full range of dental services with an emphasis on quality of care and compassion.
Marc J. Novak, DMD
Dr. Marc Novak is from northern Connecticut, a town called East Windsor. He stayed in his home state to continue his education. He graduated from the University of Connecticut with an undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology and continued there earning his Master's degree in Biochemistry. While earning his Master's, Marc researched protein stability and this led to several peer reviewed publications in well respected scientific journals. Still wanting to do more, he decided to continue his education a the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD). While at UConn, he completed a senior externship in advanced Endodontics as well as receiving awards from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
After dental school, Dr. Novak attended the rigorous and highly regarded residency at Morristown Medical Center. His experience at the #1 hospital in New Jersey allowed him to expand his dental training by completing advanced oral surgery procedures, dental implants, pediatric dentistry and comprehensive full mouth rehabilitation.
Dr. Novak focuses on education, innovation and advancing his skills so he may give the best and most up to date treatment to his patients. Recently, he trained in the field of dental implants by studying under the renowned Dr. Dennis Tarnow and the Columbia University Dental Implant Continuum. He is a dedicated member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, New Jersey Dental Association and Tri-County Dental Society.
Marc likes traveling, wood-working, running and just about any outdoor activity, in his spare time.
